1st day here started EARLY. We were up at 5:15 am... I can't even blame it on Alex! Although we normally like to get out of the hotel to eat, we decided that since we were starving and didn't have dinner that we would have a "western" breakfast at the hotel. For the record, the Marriott has excellent breakfasts! We then wandered around a bit and found a fabulous park near us with waterfalls, ponds and a tea house. Stupidly, we had just planned to go for a short walk when we left the hotel so didn't bring the camera! Needless to say there will be a return trip!
In the afternoon, we took the bus to Stanley Market, a tourist market area. We notice that a lot of people stare at Alex and point to us... At first I thought that they were just admiring my stunning good looks but John as always set me straight! Here are some pics from Day 1- hopefully this works!
